Hi there, I’m Sophie Beadie. I am a NASM certified personal trainer, barre enthusiast, and a professional ballerina. I've enjoyed 9 wonderful years of professional dancing with Cincinnati Ballet, Dayton Ballet, Terpsicorps Theatre of Dance, PDX Contemporary Ballet, Shaun Keylock Company, New York State Ballet, the Portland Opera, and am still freelancing! I also hold a BFA in dance from the University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music and have been teaching ballet and contemporary technique for the past 5 years.
My passion for fitness began about 8 years ago, when I badly injured my L3 vertebrae during a ballet rehearsal. After a full year of intense physical therapy, I came back to dance stronger than before, and with a deep understanding of body mechanics and proper cross-training. It was then that my real passion for deep core work truly began!
Continuing to dance professionally following my injury, I became excited about sharing my ballet cross-training regime with everyone-dancers and non dancers alike! I became certified to teach Pure Barre, worked alongside physical therapists, earned a personal training certification, and now teach my own barre, HIIT, and cardio sculpt classes in addition to personal training.
My training philosophy always starts with core strength, then we work together to build confidence, power, and flexibility through creative and adaptive work outs. No matter your age, background, or skill level, I strive to create programs to fit your needs while challenging your body and mind in healthy and fun ways! Let's get moving together!
